This is a video clip on how to approach your horse and put the halter on the QS way.
This video clip is from the Spirals DVD.

Relaxing a Tight Horse

This video clip is from a Release Focused Training clinic I did in Wentworth Aust Feb 2008. It is of a horse who was very tight in the flank area and was a bit cranky about being asked to go forward.
I use skills that are taught in QS level one to help the horse and the softness and confidence show in the horse at the end of the session when Mel works with her horse again with it being much happier going forward.
Grab a cuppa and sit back and enjoy this 12 minute video with me.
Cheers,   Shane

Teaching a horse to Jump using Comfort (RFT)

This video is from a Release Focused Training clinic in Wentworth Aust. I do a demonstration with Carmen's horse Deni that was having a bit of trouble learning that jumping can give comfort. You will see the before and after clearly in this video with Deni jumping nicely for Carmen in the end. There is a bit of wind noise in the beginning but it is well worth the watch as you will pick up some handy tips from this video which may help you in other areas besides just jumps i.e.; loading ridden transitions and circles.
Cheers,  Shane

Helping a Horse that is Heavy on the Rein

This video is from and Release Focused Training Clinic we did in Canberra Aust. Here I am riding a horse that was pulling on the reins and couldn't keep a circle at a walk or trot. This is a long video and goes for around 20 minutes I was going to cut it down but thought that you would be interested in seeing the whole proccess and then see the horses owner (Louisa)ride him after me. before this session Lousia was at a loss with what to do with him being so heavy on the reins. I think you will enjoy this one especialy if you have a horse like Louisa's.
Cheers,   Shane

Spirals in and out on a 22' Lead (Level 2)

This video is from a Release Focused Training Clinic we did in Canberra.
We look at how to do Level 2 spirals in and out on a 22' lead to help improve the horse lateral flexion on the circles and help them find comfort on the circle so they stay soft and relaxed.
Cheers,   Shane
